Surfing in San Juan, La Union

So, last January 12 and 13 which was a Saturday and Sunday, we went to San Juan, La Union to learn how to surf. We were supposed to leave January 11 but we woke up too late so we postponed. I thought we wouldn't be able to go anymore but we did, good stuff! We drove Kaydee, who did wonderfully, as in nakakasabay ako sa speed ng mga Mazda 3 at Honda Civic na 1.8 ang mga engines when I have a mere 1.0 engine. Odiba ang cool? Hehe!

We stayed at SeBay Resort, 1350 per night yung aircon room nila, private toilet, cable tv (that we barely turned on, HELLO! We were at the beach!). Ok naman for the price. We got there around 10am, nag lounge muna kami, then lunch, then went swimming. At first I didn't wanna go through with the surfing anymore, takot kasi ako e pero I decided to rent a board and try it on my own na muna. Hay naku! That was the funniest, most embarrasing sport I have ever tried! I kept falling off my board! Pero nakakatawa lang siya kahit na mukha akong tanga dun within people who were so good at it. I TRIED to surf for 2 hours and gave up only coz I got tired na. Nakakahingal siya ha! Paddle to the deep end, wait for the wave, paddle when wave is coming to gain speed, try to stand on the board, FALL OFF! Again and again yan!

The next day I decided to take a lesson na. Ayun! I MANAGED TO STAND ON MY BOARD AND RIDE THE WAVE! My instructor even said that I did something called "walling" whatever that is. Basta masaya siya sobra! It's too bad I didn't get pictures, no one around to take them e kasi we were all at the beach having too much fun making a fool out of ourselves. Oh yeah, Dana's first attempt to surf, SHE DID IT RIGHT AWAY! As in first try pa lang nakatayo na siya at naride niya yung wave! Galing talaga ng baby ko! Going home sucked! I wish I could have stayed longer. It was relaxing. I will so go back there very soon!

Oh, the only drawback is that the day after you surf and surf for the first time, you'll have major body pain. Mine just subsided this morning. But it's worth it, really! Lika surfing tayo!

I'm in Netopia at Megamall right now. Dana was bored at home so I brought her to to go play at Dave's Fun House, she loves it there. Sa 8 pa sila mag back to school, I've ran out of dvds for her na. On the upside, she loves the Spice Girls concert dvd so she keeps watching that and dancing around copying the girls. She looks so cute when she does it. I love that she honestly loves the Spice Girls. Hindi yung tulad ng ibang bata na sinasabing gusto dahil lang gusto ng mommy or daddy nila. Ako na nga yung nagsasawa kasi kahit sa car gusto niya yung Spice Girls cd pa din ang nakasaksak sa cd player. I'm rasing such a wonderfully intelligent girl, I couldn't ask for more!
